Ha:
This is the activity in the art room. We are drawing and decorating the front
page of the newspaper. I think it is very interesting and a little difficult
but I'm very much enjoying it. Thanks Ms. Dien for helping us to finish!
I
worked very hard on the logo. My newspaper's logo is showing the name
"The Starlight." My partner Uyen and I worked together well. While
I decorated the newspaper, Uyen worked on the article. We had a lot of fun.

Thao
and Tabea: The last week we had to create our own newspaper front page for a
presentation. We drew many ideas on a paper. Sometimes it was very difficult
but also very much fun. We had the idea to make a newspaper in the future
(the year 2042). The name of the newspaper is "Newsflash" and we
wrote a story and drew a picture of a man who married a robot woman. It was
very interesting because we had to find out about the future. We think that
in the future, maybe humans and robots will live side by side and there will
be flying cars or maby clones.

Toan:
I really enjoyed working to create the front page but I didn't like it when I
had to write on the front page because I have really bad handwriting.
A
newspaper is important in society because it has almost all of the latest news
like robberies, thefts, gold prices, stock prices, etc.
Newspapers
are getting really important because the businessmen and -women need to know
about things like inflation, so that they know what the prices are of the
things that they are selling.
The
role of a newspaper depends on the country. In Vietnam there are a lot of
advertisements on the newspaper, it seems like about half of the newspaper is
advertisements. In England, different newspapers have different numbers of
advertisements.
Tien: In this Summer program, we
and Mr. Casey have a lot of funny activities.
Especially, we make our newspaper.
We have 2 days to design our newspaper and write a story. First, we design the newspaper with pencil
and then we paint it with a lot of colours.
Next, we think about the story and write it on a laptop.
My
newspaper is called the “GIS news” in the future. In the future, GIS is the most modern school
in the world. My pictures many not be
interesting, but GIS will be like that in the future. 
Vincent: We’re doing a
newspaper. It’s very fun! I picked a very exciting newspaper topic,
it’s about the driverless car that can run by itself, and it is by Google. My question is, “Will it be safe?” I don’t know, they are still testing. And the driverless car is awesome! Will it crash on the highway? How about we find out what is going to
happen? And if you want to know what is
going to happen, go to the internet and print out the newspaper about the
driverless car.
